Plot: When Evelyn Couch starts having marriage trouble she goes on a trip to visit relatives in a nursing home. Some things don't matter like it doesn't matter if the movie took out the lesbian overtones or not. What matters is, Ruth and Idgy loved each other. Period. I'm not a lesbian but I have had a few close friends that I love dearly with all my heart. I love my husband too but men will never understand the bond between females.
